PRADA REVEALS “PAST FORWARD” BY DIRECTOR DAVID O. RUSSELL
Miuccia Prada has joined in a unique collaboration with American writer/director David O. Russell involving the development of PAST FORWARD, a multi-platform film project. Russell imagined PAST FORWARD as a surreal, silent dreamscape with multiple actors replaying scenes in shifting combinations. The result is an unreliable story, a parallax view wherein the scenes, characters, costumes, genres, and even the multiple endings, repeat and morph, refusing the logic of conventional narrative.
The movie premiered at the new Hauser Wirth & Schimmel Gallery in Los Angeles on November 15th, at the presence of Miuccia Prada and David O. Russell (dressed in Prada). Notable guests included Connie Britton (in Prada), Zoey Deutch (in Prada), Milla Jovovich (in Prada), Zosia Mamet (in Prada), Kate Mara (in Prada), Michelle Monaghan (in Prada), Demi Moore (in Prada), Mandy Moore (in Prada), Olivia Munn (in Prada), Sarah Paulson (in Prada), Nicola Peltz (in Prada), Freida Pinto (in Prada), Kuoth Wiel (in Prada), Allison Williams (in Prada), Jamie Bell (in Prada), Logan Lerman (in Prada), Scoot McNairy (in Prada), Edgar Ramirez (in Prada), Sinqua Walls (in Prada) and Christoph Waltz (in Prada). On November 16, the film was simultaneously screened for select audiences in Tokyo, London, Beijing, Moscow, Istanbul, Berlin, Milan, Paris, New York, and Sydney (the latter on Nov. 17).
